Understanding Neuropathy: “Neuropathy” - Neuro ~ Nerve, Pathy ~ Disease = Nerve Disease
Forget the science for a minute. In basic terms neuropathy simply means that there is a disease with the nerve and this causes a malfunction of the transmission of nerve signals. When you have neuropathy in your feet, the nerves are not talking to the rest of the body properly. The nerve malfunction can cause pain of all types even when there’s nothing causing the pain, or the nerve might not send a pain signal when something is harming you. Others may even experience strength, balance and coordination disturbances. Every neuropathy sufferer or patient presents with their own unique blend of symptoms and afflictions.
There are over a hundred different causes or reasons why someone develops neuropathy but it’s important to remember that whichever type you may have, the basic underlying principles are still the same.
The most common types of neuropathy are caused from diabetes, chemotherapy, toxic exposure, alcoholism, medication side effects (cholesterol medicine), and failed back surgery.
And if those six causes weren’t enough, the #1 most diagnosed cause of neuropathy is idiopathic and this means that the cause of the nerve damage is unknown.
Oftentimes, the first course of treatment is a laundry list of medications to suppress the symptoms. Translation: you may diminish the pain some but the problem is still there, still progressing, and still getting worse. Finding solutions that treat the cause is better!

Do You Have Neuropathy?
To determine if you might have neuropathy, here is a list of common symptoms that most neuropathy patients deal with on a day-to-day basis:
● Numbness, pain, burning, freezing or tingling in hands or feet
● Trouble sleeping or getting comfortable at night
● Shooting pains down your legs or arms
● Extreme sensitivity to touch
● Constant muscle weakness or aching
● Blood pressure or heart rate issues
● Constant loss of balance or coordination
● Cramps
● Spasms
● Reduced ability to perspire
● Constipation
● Bladder dysfunction
● Sexual dysfunction
● Inability to walk long distances without extreme pain
● Difficulty standing/balancing
● “Heavy” feeling in arms or legs
Why are my nerves dying?
What?
Yes, that malfunction that we talked about earlier, it’s because your nerves are slowly dying.
Here’s why you might have neuropathy.
Inflammation, Poor Cellular Health, Poor Nerve Nutrition, Poor Circulation/Poor Tissue Oxygenation, and Bad Nerve Signals are the main culprits as to why nerves malfunction and ultimately die.
Let’s break this down:
Inflammation - there’s a ton of research that talks about the fact that inflammation is the precursor of most chronic disease. Damaged peripheral nerves are ultimately inflamed which leads to nerve malfunction. Proper treatment of peripheral neuropathy must address and reduce inflammation both at the local sites and systemically throughout the body.
Poor Cellular Health - there are trillions of nerve cells or neurons in the body. Neurons are the basic structures that make up a nerve. If the nerve cells are not healthy then the nerve itself will malfunction. These cells produce energy in a little power house called mitochondria. It produces tiny molecules called ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) which your cells then burn to produce energy. If you’re not producing enough ATP your cells become tired and worn out. Simply put, without enough energy your cells cannot function the way they should, which leads to a malfunctioning nerve.
Poor Nerve Nutrition - all nerves need proper “nerve nutrition”. Research has indicated that there are specific key nutritional ingredients that help your nerves function better, heal faster and regenerate. Eating right will not get you where you need to go when you have nerve damage. This is an often overlooked aspect of neuropathy recovery.
Poor Circulation - when there is poor circulation you have less blood flow, less oxygen and fewer nutrients getting to the nerve and surrounding tissue. This process is called Ischemia. When you have ischemia there is a restriction in blood supply to all tissues, causing a shortage of oxygen that is needed for cellular metabolism (which is needed to keep tissue alive). You may notice symptoms of poor circulation as pain or discomfort as well as discoloration.
Bad Nerve Signals - by now it should be clear that when your nerves are inflamed and don’t have the proper nerve nutrition (food) as well as a proper oxygenated blood supply to stay alive then the nerve itself will not function properly. Because the nerve has been damaged it will not signal properly causing pain and discomfort as well as motor issues such as a loss of strength, balance and gait. We have a solution for this.
Getting Relief: It’s not really like baking a cake but it’s close
Each component of the problem needs to be addressed at the same time to properly heal a damaged nerve and provide lasting relief. Just like a cake recipe, if you leave out an ingredient, or don’t use the right amount you won’t get the results you’re looking for. Each solution by itself is good, just like the ingredients in a cake but when it’s all used together… Voila!
A Few Solutions To Defeat Neuropathy
In addition to these solutions, a person should also address diet, exercise, balance therapy/vibration rehabilitation, joint mobilization, spinal decompression, and increasing nitric oxide.
Reduce Inflammation - a proprietary concentrated herbal blend to reduce inflammation systemically.
Improve Cellular Health - a formula providing a synergistic blend of key nutrients to support healthy nerve and tissue function. As well as support and sustain nitric oxide levels and aid in vasodilation to help fuel tissue.
Improve Nerve Nutrition - an extraordinary nerve support loaded with vitamins, herbs, and antioxidants that all work together to improve nerve health and function.
Improve Circulation - an FDA cleared laser device which improves circulation and decreases pain.
Improve Nerve Signals - an FDA cleared electrical device which is designed to provide needed rehab to your damaged nerves by reestablishing the proper nerve paths that may have been compromised.
Keep Learning
There are scientific advances in medicine, improved methods and protocols that can make a difference in recovering from neuropathy. Consulting with a certified neuropathy specialist would help to identify your condition the options available.
